We love the handmade touch that gives this hairclip its charm. Made with golkd silk and natural felt in the style of a hydrangea with pearl beads, it's super pretty and costs a mere £28 at Arty & Bella.
Adding to the charm is that Arty & Bella's capsule bridal range came about by accident after they were asked to make the occasional piece then were spotted by Cosmo Brides and Conde Nast Brides. Way to go!
We say yes as we're more than a little in love with the glam range of headwear that recalls a bygone era that we'd quite like to live in, so long as we were rich and fabulous, of course. Helena from aris-b got in touch to tell me about the range of bespoke bridal and burlesque headpieces that she's created. I almost forgot about the email when I went away for a few days of R&R and I'm glad I found it so I can show you one of the pieces she's made.
All the pieces are made from sterling silver rather than silver covered wire so they can be remade into other pieces of jewellery like brooches, necklaces or bracelets. They aren't the most traditional pieces you'll see and Helena can work with lots of different materials. Prices start at £60.
I've just spotted some beautiful fascinators from Twigs & Honey (such a charming name, don't you think?) on Happy Hour Bride. I particularly like the very romantic duck egg blue floral feather spray but contemporary brides should take a look at the silk feather birdcage veil for a very cool look:

I'm really very keen on these headpieces. The left fascinator is made from pearls and pink velvet roses with a pleated French frill (does anything sound lovelier?) for £165. The right headpiece is a real standout look with velvet flowers, feathers, crystals and a French frill (£120). I'd love to see the latter paired up with a dusky pink dress.
