We must admit, that even as a small, and utterly delightful, child, we have never wanted to dress like Barbie. Not in her 'streetwear' and certainly not in princess mode. We feel the glittery sequins and swags of this ballgown (and yes, we checked that is a wedding dress and not a prom gown) are too much like her plasticness for our liking. We are also a smidge scared of the enormous butterfly gnawing on her arm.

Holy cow, fellow Earth women! This monstrosity has escaped from its cage. Whilst we hesitate to say that the dress isn't too hideous (we kinda like the floral applique look) we do want to know what the hecky thumps is going on on the good lady's head. Perhaps it is indeed some kind of inverted prison cell, a thing we would like to suggest is Very. Wrong. Indeed. Jean Paul Gaultier.
We love a colourful wedding dress, we just don't love pink whipped cream. However, we are having fun imagining the model here with a fistful of hair shrieking 'get me out of this before I pull all my hair out.' Oh the fun she is clearly having.

We think the inspiration for this dress falls somewhere in between Barbie, fairytale princess and gold foil and we're not entirely sure what to make of it. We just don't know what is going on with the pleating, ruching and, well, everything else that is fighting for attention not to mention the Cinderella hair. We sure hope Prince Charming isn't too fussy.
We know that Vera Wang has made a successful leap into homewares but we didn't know she had fused her lines and started dressing her brides in what we can only call a bed sheet. Sure it's a bed sheet that has a head hole and arm holes and thankfully, lets the legs peep out but you know, we like to call a spade a spade and so we call this a bed sheet.
We have a secret ambition to be an astronauts though those white jump suits seriously put us off. How about going as a Chanel space bride? The head cap will keep your brain from being fried by aliens, the fold over bodice will protect you from space chills and the skirt will puff up to slow you down as you re-enter the atmosphere. Do you want to be a space bride now too?
Holy cow. Can you get any more frills? We're thinking probably not. But don't worry, there's a stuck-on bow to distract you and a rather transparent looking lace corset. The shoulder straps double as bottle cleaners which we think smacks of a touch of genius.
Bacofoil at the ready, ladies, it's time to make like you're going to space with this futuristic get up. Featuring two of my pet hates the 'rise and fall' skirt and hip ruffles so big they could be side panniers and accessorised with laced sandals and bowed gloves, this outfit is going straight from Pnina Tornai's runway show and straight to hell.

Honestly, we never expected this from Monique Lhuillier for we confess, we love her designs quite a bit. But this? That would be no. We're awfully glad it is merely 'mocha embroidered tulle' and 'peacock feather embroidery' because seriously, we nearly called PETA.
