It's so unofficial, it's completely made up. Having just been amused by friends discussing trying on their wedding dresses at home today (and they've been married a while now), I did start wondering how many former brides tried on their much loved gowns again?
Sounds like a good idea to me. After all, why shell out on a fabulous gown and never wear it again? Why not try it out with your new haircut? Or for that matter just prance about in it? Have you done it?

I'm already a fan of Net-a-porter with their masses of jewellery, accessories, shoes and big brand designers. It's a great place to look for something special without having to trudge through the shops. Brides are now getting their own dedicated wedding boutique too:
The boutique is divided into sections for bride, bridesmaid, mother of the bride and guest along with lingerie and honeymoon categories.
In the bride section, I spotted dresses by Phillip Lim, Bill Blass and Roberto Cavalli, Roksanda Ilincic and this lovely silk halterneck Marchesa gown (£655):
Sure, there aren't any wedding designers per se, but there are plenty of high-end dresses that could make great bridalwear. Let's not forget accessories either with shoes from the likes of Jimmy Choo, Miu Miu and Lanvin and jewellery from Vivienne Westwood et al. Picture time? I think so...

Can you imagine how fabulous this necklace would look? It really epitomises country charm for me with soft fabric roses in gentle hues of yellow, bluey-grey and cream with a ribbon tie. It would look so pretty with a lace gown, wouldn't it?

Sometimes, jewellery websites can be a little overwhelming. This is beautiful, that is beautiful... should you change your whole style to fit in that piece... where to even start? Browsing Radiance Boutique, I can see they've thought of that and have a handy 'advice & inspiration' section with a small selection of themes including 'English Rose' and 'City Chic' to get you started plus there's a Star Style page for some celeb inspiration. There's lots of advice for bridesmaids too including how to tie in your bridesmaids style to your own and how to go for individual pieces but still connect them to the rest of the party.

Jewellers Azendi got in touch to let me that they're offering 25% off all there wedding bands for the whole of March! They carry Bien, Feniom, Ti2 and Fischer brands with lots of different styles that can be tailored to your exact requirements including fit, stones and inscriptions. There's also discounts to be had on bridesmaid gifts and bridal jewellery.
Not all of us are into hearts, bunnies and flowers... so, if you want some sexier stationery for your bachelorette party, Donna has emailed to let me know about her donnamatrix line which has beautiful iluustrations like this. Wouldn't they make the most fabulous invites?

The Lolapalooza Bridal Sale is about to hit town with a 'pop-up sale' including dresses, bridesmaid frocks, accessories and wedding favours from well known and new designers - think Jenny Packham and Emmy Shoes at competitive prices.

Vintage Hollywood - is there nothing that can evoke glamour more? I don't think so! Circa Vintage Brides have launched their second collection, designed by Astrid Sundholm-Hayes, which draws on film stars and named after famous female icons such as Marilyn, Ava (pictured), Grace and Vivienne.
